Todd Woodbridge was the guest speaker and entertained the crowd with some great stories from his playing days. Congratulations to Dawn Fisher and Helen Berggren who were both nominated as outstanding volunteers by the West Lakes Tennis Club and recognised by Tennis SA as finalists. All Club nominees were supported by their clubs and management committees on the Awards night.

Jarmere Jenkins visits West Lakes Tennis Club

Jarmere Jenkins, US tennis player who played in the 2014 Charles Sturt Adelaide International tournament gave a surprise visit to the West Lakes Tennis Club mid October. During his brief stay, Jenkins was invited to have a hit with some of the Club’s Junior players followed by pizza and sharing his tennis tales including his now famous tennis blooper (see below). Jenkins is currently touring Australia playing both Challenger and Futures tournaments. We wish him all the very best and look forward to seeing him compete in the 2015 Australian Open.
